Creating Synonym Rings

To create a Synonym Ring:

1. Select Index > Synonyms from the menu. The synonym window opens.
2. Click Create under the Rings window. The Add Synonym window opens.
3. Type in the first entry for the ring and click OK. This is the name by which the ring is identified. This term will also be included in the Entries window on the right of the Synonym file screen.
4. Click Add under the Entries window to enter words and phrases into the ring. You can add as many as you like. You can use special symbols to further control how your synonyms work. For more information about these symbols, see Synonym modifiers.
5. When you have finished setting up your rings, click OK.
6. You can add, edit, and delete terms in a ring using the buttons under the Entries window.
